Who can edit roles and set options

By default, only Owners can edit roles and change settings. This can be extended to moderators using the steps below.

How to set it up

1. Open Settings via the Profile menu in the top right corner.
2. Go to the Security section and find Permissions.
3. Under Who can edit roles and change these options, choose one of the two options from the dropdown:
4. • Owners — only Owners can edit roles and settings (default)
   • Owners and moderators — Owners and users with the Moderation permission can both edit roles and settings
4. Click Save to apply the change.

What moderators can do once access is granted

When set to Owners and moderators, any user with the Moderation permission gains access to the Roles tab and can assign or change permissions for other users — within the limits of their own role. Moderators cannot elevate other users above their own permission level.
