# New features

* New 'Rewards access' option in roles 🎁

Admins can now control who can spend karma on rewards through the new 'Rewards access' option in role settings. It's on by default for everyone, but when turned off for a role, those team members get the "No rewards access" badge and the `Redeem` button on the [Rewards](https://app.karmabot.chat/rewards/) page becomes inactive. If the Rewards section is disabled altogether, the option and badge are hidden.
